For example, the company:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>helped Heathrow Airport lower its carbon footprint by installing more energy efficient motors on a baggage conveyor belt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>trained research and development engineers in sustainable design to help them make better decisions about the materials they select for use in the company\u2019s solutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>implemented a process to manage leftover parts and equipment, which can then be reused or resold<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and had its roadmap to cut emissions through to FY2034 validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report was written in line with standards issued by the Global Reporting Initiative and marks a step up towards compliance with the EU\u2019s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). For the first time, it includes the results of Vanderlande\u2019s double materiality assessment (DMA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur company has ambitious growth plans and sustainability will help us achieve them,\u201d says Vanderlande CEO Andrew Manship. \u201cIn FY2025, we updated our sustainability strategy to focus on areas where the greatest impact can be made, both externally and internally. In addition, it is more tangible and more firmly focused on business opportunities.
